Why this field

Public companies, banks, and healthcare organizations are required to maintain and test controls over their systems. Sarbanes-Oxley covers financial reporting, the HIPAA Security Rule covers patient data, the GLBA Safeguards Rule covers financial institutions. That testing happens whether the business is hiring or cutting.

The question everyone asks
Partly. The World Economic Forum’s 2025 jobs report lists accountants and auditors among the roles it expects to shrink, and the part it’s talking about is the repetitive checklist work.
The other half of the picture is that ISACA, the body that certifies auditors, launched a whole new AI audit certification in 2025 because organizations are adopting AI faster than anyone can govern it. Someone has to test those systems. That work is new, and it’s audit work.
The clerical end of auditing is exposed. The technical end is where the field is moving, and that’s what this class teaches.

What else you could do
The exam is $575 for ISACA members and $760 if you aren’t one. Real credential, and the right move eventually. But it asks for five years of experience before it certifies you, and it doesn’t teach you how to do the work or how to get hired.
The content is fine. Almost nobody finishes one. If self-paced worked for you, you would already be an IT auditor.
Longer, far more expensive, and mostly aimed at people who already work in tech.

Questions, answered
Yes, and that’s exactly who it was built for. Classes run at 7pm, and there are six sessions, not sixty. Two hours an evening, twice most weeks, for three weeks. If you can watch a movie after work, you can do this.
You don’t. IT audit means checking whether systems follow the security rules a company wrote down, like making sure people who leave lose their access and that changes get approved before they ship. If you have basic computer literacy and can read a checklist, we teach you the rest. You’re also far from alone in not having the degree. ISACA even takes two years off the CISA experience requirement for a bachelor’s degree in any field at all. Accounting, English, biology. This profession has never required a computer science degree.
Enough to walk into an interview and hold your own. You’ll know what IT general controls are, how an audit is planned and executed, how to talk about risk, and how to answer the questions you’ll actually be asked. Three weeks gets you interview ready. Director comes later.
The support keeps going after the class ends. Your $1,500 covers more than the six sessions: a full resume review, interview preparation before you go in, and a debrief afterward so the next one goes better. Once you’re on the job, you still have someone to call when you run into something you haven’t seen before. And the career coaching never expires.
They do. Entry level IT audit is one of the few technical doors that opens without a technical resume, because the work is method and judgment sitting on top of technology. Our last session is built specifically to help you make that case, in your words, about your own background. After that we rewrite your resume together, prepare you for the interview, and go over how it went afterward so you get sharper every time.
